It has a very high smoke point hence it can be used to cook with or as a substitute for butter. It is about 92% saturated fat, however it contains a unique blend of short and medium chain fatty acids making it easier to digest.<\/p>\n

Consuming coconut oil may be a bit ghastly for some, therefore it is recommended to start by using 1-2 teaspoons a day and gradually increase to 3-4 teaspoons a day. It can be used in warm salads or as a general replacement for oil in most meals.<\/p>\n

Not only is it good to eat but it’s also a great skin lotion or conditioner. It has a great smell and can be mixed with your favourite essence to create your own fragrant bath.<\/p>\n
