Do you always feel good about everything that you’ve accomplished in your life? Is the answer, sometimes? Or what about even who you are? Do you or have you accepted these things about yourself? The answer to these questions will determine the path you are guiding your life into. It will also determine the level of inner peace<\/a> you are going to have now and in the future.<\/p>\n We all make choices in life and these can have a great impact on us. We decide what job to accept, where we are going to live, who we want to marry and so on. Our general health<\/a> have also mostly been up to us. We choose the food we eat<\/a> and the necessary supplements to take to keep our bodies healthy. When things do not work favourably, we have no other choice but to accept the decisions that are affecting our current situation. Obesity is a main problem<\/a> that many face however without acceptance, they will not be able to move forward. We create our own lives with each passing day. Our thoughts and decisions groom who we are for life.<\/p>\n There are some things that we can never change, but we have to accept them as they are. This is the only way to heal and to move forward. Such things are being born with a disability whether physical or mental, born in an abusive household, born into poverty or sometimes even accepting the death of a loved one. Accepting these things does not mean that you settle for it, but it’s making a conscious decision to own the situation and taking steps to make it or yourself better.<\/p>\n We are in the drivers seat, we can steer our lives into the path we would like it to go. \nThis acceptance is not just taking things as they are, but it is about always striving to do better even if our plans are not fulfilled in the way we would like it to. The good thing about trying is the fact of knowing that we did our best. This will boost our self confidence and encourage us to make better decisions. The saying “it is better to try and fail, than to fail to try”, is very true. Regrets creep in not when we focus on the future, but mostly when we think about our past. This can deter us, but based on how we mould the present, this will attest to what can or will happen in the future. “We reap what we sow”.<\/p>\n
