Sales of pre wrapped loaves fell by 31 million last year as many are now eating less loaves, and are replacing these with wraps, pittas and bagels. This switch is being done as many are looking for healthier eating choices but the big question is, “Are these choices healthier?”
White bread, a staple since the 1930’s has come under criticism for it’s texture, low nutrition and high salt content. Nutritionist are now saying that a change to pitta and other breads may add variety to your day, but there is no change in nutrition value.
In the end it may not make a difference to do such a change.
